In 2014, a dream literally guided me to Wizard World Comic Con (now Atlanta Comic Con). I had never heard of it before, but once I discovered what it was, I knew I had to attend. That experience led me to a creators’ discussion panel, where I met Rod Brown, the founder of rkb Creates, then called Native Comics.
Later, after sending him a colored version of his Protectors of the Native Order poster, he brought me on as a digital colorist and inker. I went on to color two full Native Comics titles—Sazz and G-Man—and eventually, through his collaboration with Professor Griff of the legendary hip-hop group Public Enemy, I worked on Griff’s solo title, Professor Griff: Who Stole the Soul?
